Purchase a web site domain name, or URL, either through our partners or from the registrar of your choice. Some provide free domain name registration if you sign up for their hosting services. We recommend www.1and1.com. They are inexpensive, easy to use and reliable. (And they won’t get your site banned because they don’t host controversial web sites.)
Select your hosting service. Make sure that they are able to support the type of web site that you have in mind. We can help you figure that out. 1and1.com is able to support pretty much every option we offer.
Describe your web site. Give us an idea of what you want in a web site - it’s purpose and it’s audience. Whether it is a theme, a color scheme, a particular look, just let us know. If there is another website that you would like to emulate, give us the link.
Select your keyword phrases. We can help you do that.
Provide us with any photos, clip art or graphics that you want to include in the site. If you have ideas on how each image is to be placed on the site, tell us.
Provide us with the text that you want included. If you have more than one page in mind and each page covers a different product, service or subject, we will need text for each page
Send us money, lots of it! Just kidding. Check out the pricing page to see how much your site will cost. Keep in mind that the more you do for yourself in the way of writing text or sizing and saving photos in the correct format, it will save you money. If you ask us to put your text together for you by researching competitive sites or looking information up through reference materials, it can get expensive. You know your subject matter far better than we might. Likewise if you send us a bunch of photos that need to be cropped or adjusted for color, brightness, contrast or size, that can also get expensive. The more bells and whistles you want on your site, the more you can expect to spend. Simple is best. Your potential readers don’t want to have to wade through a bunch of floating chili peppers or hypnotizing graphics to get to the real meat.
We will provide you with a preview of the site design to have you authorize moving forward. To keep our costs affordable, design changes will be limited to no more than five style choices.
The site will be built and you will be asked to review the site for spelling, grammar, photo quality and link integrity.
Once approved, you will pay the balance of the fees and the site will be uploaded to the host of your choice under the domain name you have purchased.
You can let the site sit out on the web without maintenance, you can maintain it on your own, or we can maintain and update if for you
